Too Much Protein?

I disagree with this article. Most of us do not eat enough protein in a day, especially those who are active. I also do not see the average american including porterhouse steaks, salmon and lentils in there daily diet! Depending on activity levels and goals we need one half to one gram of protein per pound of body weight to maintain normal body function and build lean muscle mass.

Food Pyramid No More

The USDA announced the change of the food pyramid to the food plate.   While there are still cons to the new adaptation, as the many opinions voiced so far show, it is still a good tool for teaching young children the importance of good nutrition.
